"Blue Economy: Evolving Development Framework or Smoke and Mirrors?”
The Pacific Network on Globalisation in collaboration with Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN) and partners, share their perspectives on the Blue Economy development discourse.
The proliferation of interests in this development agenda, not only in the Pacific but globally, calls for more critical discussions.
The panel raised fundamental questions such as what is the Blue Economy? Why the huge interest in it? And to whom will it benefit?

https://nonaamspaypal.com caught my attention because the panel's question about who actually benefits from the Blue Economy feels like the crux of the whole debate. The point about the discourse proliferating globally without enough critical discussion rings true, especially since so many Pacific communities are still figuring out what these frameworks mean for their own livelihoods. I'd add that the gap between policy language and on-the-ground fishing families often comes down to who controls the financing, which is worth keeping in view as this agenda expands.
